About Owen
Owen Nicholson is an associate at Bow River Law LLP practicing employment law, human rights, and labour law. He grew up on a farm outside Leduc and worked in Alberta's energy and construction sectors as a helicopter powerline technician before law school. He is professionally bilingual, having earned a political science degree from Campus Saint-Jean and a law degree from the University of Ottawa's French-language common law program, and he writes a regular legal column for Le Franco, Alberta's French-language newspaper. He has appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Court of King's Bench, and the Alberta Human Rights Commission, and has contributed to Supreme Court of Canada proceedings on three occasions.
