About Barry

Barry Clapp is an employment lawyer based in Calgary who has represented employees, senior executives, and employers in employment law matters for over 20 years, including wrongful dismissal, severance packages, and human rights claims. Before establishing his own practice, he worked at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP and later at Miller Thomson LLP, where he headed the firm's Labour & Employment Group in Calgary. Barry has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta, including the Court of Queen's Bench and the Alberta Court of Appeal, and has represented clients before labour arbitration boards, the Alberta Human Rights and Citizenship Commission, the Canadian Human Rights Commission, the Alberta Labour Relations Board, and the Federal Court of Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Victoria, and is a member of the Alberta Law Society.
