After earning his law degree from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, he obtained NCA accreditation and completed the Law Practice Program through Ryerson University, finishing his articles at a Timmins, Ontario firm in April 2016. He worked at a small Calgary practice beginning in 2011 before joining Kahane Law Office, and was called to the bar in 2017.
