Nicole Traynor holds a Juris Doctor and a Juris Indigenarum Doctorate from the University of Victoria, a program combining the common law with Indigenous Legal Orders. During law school, Nicole completed two field schools with Pehdzeh Ki First Nation and Cowichan Tribes. Nicole graduated with Honours from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Criminal Justice and Public Policy before starting law school. She previously articled at Mandell Pinder LLP in Aboriginal law, where an interest in family law developed as a way to assist Indigenous families. Drawing on that Aboriginal-law background, Nicole focuses her family law practice on assisting Indigenous families across British Columbia.
