About Nicholas
Nick Toth is a patent and trademark agent and lawyer whose practice focuses on protecting intellectual property in electronics, optics, mechanical devices, software, and internet technologies. He prepares and prosecutes patent, trademark, industrial design, and copyright applications in Canada and internationally, including U.S. provisional and PCT applications, conducts patentability and registrability searches, and prepares IP acquisition, licensing, and non-disclosure agreements. Before his legal career, he worked for five years as an electronics and opto-electronics engineer for a BC fiber-optic transmission equipment manufacturer, giving him particular expertise in RF, microwave band, and opto-electronic circuitry. He was called to the BC bar in 2003.
