About Natalie
Natalie has focused her practice exclusively on tax disputes since 2008, advising private company CEOs and high-net-worth individuals facing CRA reassessments. She has overturned a CRA assessment that recharacterized a $20 million investment portfolio, shielded corporate directors from more than $13 million in HST exposure after a merger, and preserved SR&ED credit eligibility for a client's business. Her case work also includes reversing a $1.7 million property valuation dispute, cutting more than $3 million from a mining equipment valuation, defeating allegations of over $10 million in unreported income, and overturning a reassessment that relied on anti-avoidance rules to void a legitimate tax plan. Natalie writes and speaks regularly on tax avoidance, shareholder benefits, and litigation strategy, and she mentors other litigators in the field. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2008 and holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Bristol.
