The firm later built its own tax-litigation strategy software, CounterPoint, and in 2022 it established the Canadian Institute for Tax Controversy Studies, a research arm that studies how Canada's tax dispute system is designed and governed. Four partners make up the team today, called to the Ontario bar between 2006 and 2020, and they appear before the Tax Court of Canada and the Federal Court.
