Ian Humphries is a partner in Thorsteinssons' Vancouver office. Before joining the firm, he articled and practiced securities law at a national firm, and prior to law school he worked as an investment banker focused on real estate and infrastructure. His practice today centres on international and domestic corporate tax planning for private corporations and multinational groups, along with tailored personal and estate planning advice. He also represents clients before the CRA on audit and appeal disputes. Ian holds a Bachelor of Commerce with honours from Queen's University and a J.D. from the University of British Columbia, where he received the Kenneth S Fawcus Memorial Prize in Civil Procedure and the Douglas Knowles Fellowship in Insolvency Law. He belongs to the CBA Tax Subsection and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
