Associate at OKT (Olthuis Kleer Townshend LLP)
Nancy Carlson Jones joined OKT as an Associate at the end of her articles in 2022. Before law school, she spent fifteen years working in Indigenous communities in British Columbia and Nunavut, holding roles in justice, training and employment, early childhood education, and social services, experiences that led her to pursue law as a tool for supporting Indigenous self-determination. She earned her JD from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she received an award for highest standing in Climate Change Law and took part in two Anishinaabe law camps. She also completed the Intensive Program in Aboriginal Lands, Resources and Governance, with a placement at the First Nations Summit in British Columbia, the province she calls home.
