About Murray

Murray L. Murphy practises labour, employment, and human rights law and is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources. He represents clients in education, government, transportation, construction, retail, and media, and has appeared before the Labour Relations Board, in employment standards proceedings, and grievance arbitrations. Murphy serves as a labour relations arbitrator appointed by the PEI Minister of Labour and has presided over several arbitrations. He acted as lead counsel to the public inquiry on student safety in Prince Edward Island schools and represents many of the province's largest employers. Murphy is Managing Partner of the firm's Charlottetown office and previously served two terms on its Partnership Board. He earned his LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick in 1995 and a B.A. (Honours) from UNB in 1992, and was named King's Counsel in 2013.
