About Milton
Milton Davis was called to the Ontario bar in 1978 and has built his career around commercial litigation. His work spans banking and real estate disputes, corporate and shareholder conflicts, mortgage remedies, and professional negligence claims brought against lawyers and other professionals. In 1985 he earned certification as a civil litigation specialist, and he has since appeared as counsel in over 200 reported decisions, including cases before the Supreme Court of Canada. He argued a real estate matter that reached the Supreme Court in 2012, the first such case the court had taken up in fifteen years, and he successfully argued two of the country's leading shareholder rights appeals. For more than thirty years he has acted for some of Canada's largest banks. Milton holds an LL.B. from the University of Windsor and a B.A. from York University, and he has lectured on trial advocacy and civil procedure at Osgoode Hall Law School and the Law Society of Ontario.
