About Michelle

Michelle Bullas is a tax and corporate lawyer in Calgary who works mainly with small and medium-sized business owners, including many in the dental and medical sectors. She structures and reorganizes private companies using tools such as butterflies, holding companies, family trusts, and amalgamations, and advises on incorporation, share purchases, and shareholder agreements. Bullas offers flat-rate estimates for tax planning and corporate matters so clients know costs upfront. She holds a Juris Doctor from Dalhousie University (2001) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta (1995), and completed the CICA In-Depth Tax course and her TEP designation in 2013. She received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 and serves as a board member of Children's Variety.
