Employment & Labour LawKathryn (Kate) Taylor joined Paine Edmonds LLP as an associate in 2006 and is a member of the firm's ICBC & Personal Injury Law and Insurance Litigation Groups. She has appeared as counsel in hearings and trials in the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia. In 2015, Kate and partner Brad Garside tried a personal injury claim arising from a 2007 Greyhound bus accident near Hope, BC, in which the court awarded the client non-pecuniary damages, past and future income loss, future cost of care, and special damages totalling several hundred thousand dollars. Kate earned a Bachelor of Arts in Family Studies from UBC (2002) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan (2005), and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2006. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Canadian Bar Association.
