About Michael
Michael Cormier is an Associate lawyer in Cox & Palmer's Halifax office, practising medical defence, commercial litigation, and insurance litigation. He is bilingual in English and French and assists clients in either language. Michael was a summer student and articled clerk with the firm before being called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2025, and he holds a BA (Hons) in International Relations from Mount Allison University and a law degree from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. He has received several scholarships and awards for academic excellence and community involvement, including the Judge Fran Potts Award and recognition as a U Sports Academic All-Canadian. Outside the office, he is a former varsity soccer player who now referees university and college soccer leagues.
