About Michael
Michael Sami is a lawyer at LaBarge Weinstein LLP with more than a decade of experience advising early-stage and growth-stage technology companies, along with the venture capitalists and investors who back them. He guides founders from the earliest ideation stage through Series Seed financings and beyond, and has negotiated numerous exits for startups through share and asset sales, mergers, and other strategic transactions. Outside his transactional practice, Sami serves as corporate secretary and sits on advisory boards for several clients, and he is a regular guest lecturer on corporate topics at the University of Ottawa. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2011 and holds a J.D. from the University of British Columbia and a B.A. (Hons) from the University of Toronto.
