About Michael
Michael S. Janke, ICD.D partners with emerging and high-growth small to medium enterprises, providing strategic counsel and technical oversight at every stage of the business life cycle. His work includes start-up formation and tax-conscious corporate structuring, private merger and acquisition negotiation and execution, seed and venture capital and private equity financings, employer compensation arrangements, and corporate governance. Michael has represented clients in transactions including a leveraged share acquisition of a cross-border multi-media firm, multiple rounds of US private equity financing for a Canadian beverage brand, and syndicated cross-border debt financing for a transportation issuer. He earned his LLB from the University of Victoria in 1995 and his BA from the University of Calgary in 1992, and was called to the Alberta bar in 1997.
