About Gus

Gus Lu is the founder of Gusto Law, bringing a background as a television producer and Yale University film studies graduate to his corporate law practice. He has served as general counsel for both U.S. and Canada-based private equity portfolio companies and has extensive experience in securities and mergers and acquisitions law, having practiced in these areas at a top-ranked national firm. Gus has guided entrepreneurs, emerging companies, and mid- to large-cap enterprises through every stage of the business lifecycle, from formation and investment capital through growth, divestitures, and complex business combinations. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2010 and his Bachelor of Arts in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from Yale University in 2001, and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
