About Adam
Adam Singer is an experienced family law lawyer who focuses on helping clients navigate divorce and family disputes, usually preferring negotiated resolutions but pursuing court proceedings when necessary. He is equally comfortable in the courtroom and in mediation or arbitration, having appeared before all levels of court in Alberta, and previously practiced as a criminal defence lawyer and civil litigator before focusing on family law. Adam mentors younger lawyers through the Alberta Law Society, has taught the Negotiations and Professional Responsibility modules of the Alberta bar admission course, and has volunteered as a lawyer with the YWCA Sheriff King Legal Clinic, Calgary Legal Guidance, and Student Legal Assistance at the University of Calgary. He earned his BA from the University of Alberta in 1980, a Master of Arts in English from the University of Toronto in 1982, and his LLB from the University of Alberta in 1986, and was called to the Alberta bar in 1987. He is active in the Calgary Jewish community, having served as President of the Calgary Jewish Federation and of Temple B'nai Tikvah Synagogue.
