About Michael
Michael Leaver acts on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions, having worked on more than 50 significant deals, including complex, high-value, and cross-border transactions since being called to the bar in 2011. He also advises provincial and federal not-for-profit organizations and charities on board governance, reporting requirements, annual meeting procedures, and by-laws. His recent work includes advising technology and services companies on acquisitions and equity financings, such as Assent Compliance's $350 million USD raise from Vista Equity Partners and Ottawa-based Embotics Corporation's $12.1 million equity investment from Arrowroot Capital. He received his law degree from the University of Ottawa in 2010 and an Honours Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa in 2004.
