About Michael

Michael Kruse heads Kruse Law Firm, where he has spent more than 36 years defending people charged with criminal offences in Ontario. He earned a business degree from Queen's University in 1984, a Bachelor of Law from the University of Western Ontario in 1987, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1989. He then spent four years as an Assistant Crown Attorney in Windsor and Toronto, prosecuting jury trials in the Superior Court of Justice and hundreds of matters in the Ontario Court of Justice. Since entering private practice in 1993, he has defended clients across the range of criminal charges and has lectured on criminal law for the Ontario Bar Admission Course. Michael belongs to the Law Society of Ontario, the Essex County Law Association, and the Ontario Criminal Lawyers Association.
