About Michael

Michael D. Sparks has practised exclusively criminal law since 2005 and is a partner at Pringle Law. Before joining the firm, he articled and worked at Beresh Depoe Cunningham for eight years. He has represented clients charged with murder, impaired driving, drug offences, weapons offences, sexual assault, and property offences, including extensive jury trial experience, and has appeared at Alberta Traffic and Safety Board hearings and other administrative hearings. Mike is a sessional instructor at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, teaching Advanced Criminal Trial Advocacy, sits on the Legal Aid High Cost Committee, and mentors young lawyers.
