Dan Chivers is a partner at Pringle Law who has worked with Alexander Pringle, K.C. for his entire career as a criminal trial lawyer, with significant experience across charges including impaired driving, assault, murder, fraud, and drug trafficking. He has advanced Charter arguments in the Alberta Court of Justice and Court of King's Bench, appeared before the Alberta Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada, and lectured on criminal law and sentencing at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law. Dan was president of the Alberta Criminal Trial Lawyers' Association from 2017 to 2019 and currently sits on its executive as a Director, and received the association's Bruce Gunn Award in 2008. He graduated from the University of Alberta with a Business Degree in 1996, working afterward as a Labour Relations Consultant, Union Organizer, and Network Administrator, before entering law school in 2001 and graduating from the University of Alberta Law School in 2004.
