About Michael

Michael Choiselat is a partner at TDS with a general corporate and commercial practice, emphasizing financial services (primarily representing financial institutions on secured lending transactions) and property and development matters, including acquisitions, divestitures, and leasing. He frequently acts as Manitoba counsel for law firms and businesses in other jurisdictions and is often consulted on Manitoba limited partnership matters. Before joining TDS, he was an associate at Torys LLP in Toronto. He earned his LL.B. from the University of Manitoba in 1999 and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Winnipeg in 1996, and was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2000. Michael has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for Banking and Finance Law since 2022 and is Vice-Chair of the TDS Business Law Group.
