About Melissa

Melissa Eberly is an associate lawyer at Gibson Tanner Rabin LLP practising immigration and family law. She has practised immigration law since 2018, after first developing an interest in the field while working with the International Catholic Migration Commission in Geneva. She earned her JD from the University of Ottawa in 2017 and holds a Master of Arts in Globalization Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Studies, Critical Theory, and Psychology, both from McMaster University, and was called to the bar in 2018. She volunteers as secretary to the board of the Catholic Centre for Immigrants Foundation and contributes to an immigration-law advice blog run by Immigrant Women Services Ottawa.
