About Madeleine

Madeleine practises criminal and regulatory litigation, handling both trial and appellate work at every level of Ontario court. She defends clients on matters ranging from regulatory and professional discipline charges to serious Criminal Code offences, including cases involving alleged securities violations, fraud, sexual offences, firearms and drugs, and murder, as well as youth charged under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. She has challenged the constitutionality of legislation, including provisions tied to the Sex Offender Information Registration Act, and has taken on matters in Manitoba and Newfoundland. Madeleine graduated cum laude from the University of Ottawa's law program with several academic scholarships, after earning an honours B.A. in Indigenous Studies from Trent University and a Bachelor of Education from Queen's University. She is an active member of the Criminal Lawyers' Association.
