About Kim

Kim Schofield is a partner focusing on criminal defence, with an emphasis on serious drug and firearm charges as well as homicide and aggravated assault matters. She also handles large-scale project prosecutions, often challenging the wiretap authorizations used to build the Crown's case. With more than three decades of practice, she has secured release orders for clients charged with first- and second-degree murder, as well as clients facing charges involving kilograms of fentanyl and multiple firearms, and has more than 150 reported decisions on Quicklaw. She has also argued cases involving traffic stops where police relied on the Cannabis Act to justify searches, and she has lectured for the Law Society of Ontario and the Criminal Lawyers' Association on search warrants and Charter remedies.
