About Maureen

Maureen Ryan is a senior commercial partner in the firm's St. John's office, advising clients across technology, energy, fisheries, oil and gas, engineering and construction industries. Her practice covers commercial transactions ranging from contract negotiation to buying and selling businesses, financings and restructurings. Ryan was appointed King's Counsel in 2018 and chaired the firm's Partnership Board from 2020 to 2023, having also served on it in earlier years. She earned her LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, in 1989 and her BA from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1986.
