About Matthew

Matthew Nordlund practices civil litigation, with a primary focus on insurance defence and construction disputes, acting for local, national and international insurers and defending institutional clients in complex civil proceedings including class actions. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Lakehead University and his J.D. from the University of Manitoba, graduating first in his class with the Gold Medal, and was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2019. Matthew clerked at the Manitoba Court of Appeal and has appeared as counsel in more than twenty reported decisions before the Manitoba Court of King's Bench and Court of Appeal. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Canada for Insurance Law in 2025 and 2026.
