About Evan
Evan Roitenberg, KC is a criminal defence lawyer in Winnipeg who has practiced law since 1992. He is a founding partner of Wolson Roitenberg Robinson Wolson (WRRW), formed in 2021 with Richard Wolson, Laura Robinson, and Daniel Wolson from the former firm Gindin Wolson Simmonds Roitenberg, which was named Criminal Defence Firm of the Year for 2020 by Best Lawyers in Canada. He has defended clients in high-profile and precedent-setting cases across all four western provinces, Ontario, and the Supreme Court of Canada, including complex white-collar fraud and conspiracy matters. He was appointed King's Counsel and named Criminal Defence Lawyer of the Year for 2022 and 2025 by Best Lawyers. He served as Senior Commission Counsel to the inquiry into dealings between Karlheinz Schreiber and Brian Mulroney, is the Manitoba representative to the Canadian Council of Criminal Defence Lawyers, and is a past president of the Criminal Defence Lawyers Association of Manitoba. He is a guest lecturer at Robson Hall Faculty of Law and the University of Winnipeg.
