About Matthew

Matthew Mowbrey articled with Gerig Hamilton Neeland in Red Deer and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2015. He has represented clients at the Provincial Court and Court of King's Bench on debt collection, builder's liens, shareholder disputes, condominium disagreements and family law matters, and his practice focuses on real estate, corporate and commercial work, mediation, family law, and wills and estates. Since 2024 he has split his time between British Columbia and Alberta, offering more remote services including account taxation and mediation. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business from Grant MacEwan University and both a Juris Doctor and an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of Alberta. He is a sessional instructor at Red Deer Polytechnic and Vancouver Island University and volunteers with Rotary, Hospice and LGBTQ2+ non-profits.
