About Jean
Jean Friesen is a Red Deer barrister and solicitor who has practiced law since 1989, with her practice focused almost exclusively on family law and divorce for the past 25 years. She has appeared before the Provincial Court, the Court of Queen's Bench and the Court of Appeal of Alberta, and she now works primarily to help couples resolve separation issues without going to court, through mediation, collaborative family law and settlement meetings. Jean is a trained mediator and collaborative family law lawyer, and she also assists clients with estate planning, including wills, enduring powers of attorney and personal directives, and estate matters such as probate applications. She offers a free half-hour consultation to prospective clients.
