About Matthew

Matthew joined Wishart Law Firm in 2012 as an articling student and continued with the firm as a lawyer after completing his articles. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Algoma University in 2009, his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa in 2012, and his Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2019. His practice focuses on wills and estate planning, estate administration, real estate, and civil litigation, and he's fluent in French and conversational in Italian. Matthew was called to the Ontario Bar in 2013, and he was elected Mayor of Sault Ste. Marie in 2022 after previously serving as a city councillor from 2014 to 2022.
