About Matei
Matei Sasu joined Nugent Law Office in 2025 as a lawyer representing employees in labour and employment matters. He earned a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education from the University of Alberta in 2021 and his law degree there in 2024, then completed his articling at a corporate and commercial law firm in Edmonton. During law school he worked as a day leader at Student Legal Services of Edmonton and as a summer law student at the Alberta Human Rights Commission, experience that shaped his focus on employee-side advocacy.
