About Marsha
Marsha Bishop became a partner of Johnston Franklin Bishop in 2014. She graduated from Nanaimo District Senior Secondary in 1991, pursued undergraduate studies at Malaspina University-College (now Vancouver Island University), and entered UBC's Faculty of Law in 2004, earning her Bachelor of Laws in 2007. She was called to the British Columbia Bar on May 28, 2008, after articling with Johnston Franklin. Since her call to the bar she has built a personal injury practice focused on motor vehicle accident claims, representing individuals with injuries ranging from soft tissue strains to serious orthopedic or brain injuries, and understands how insurers such as ICBC typically defend claims. She manages files with a view to a fair out-of-court settlement while gathering the evidence needed for trial if necessary, and has run trials of varying complexity, including a 2013 jury trial as co-counsel that returned a verdict of over 1.3 million dollars. Born in Dawson Creek, BC, she maintains ties to Northern BC and takes clients from the Peace River region as well as across Vancouver Island.
