About Mark
Mark Mercier earned a Bachelor of Arts with double honours in Economics and Political Science in 1991, then a Bachelor of Law from the University of Manitoba in 1996, and was called to the bar in 1997. He worked briefly as a speech writer and executive assistant to Manitoba's then Minister of Justice before practising family law exclusively, covering custody and access, support, property, child protection, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements. He opened his own firm in 2005, focusing on reaching agreements where possible and proceeding to court when necessary. Outside the office, he coaches competitive soccer, fishes competitively, and volunteers on the board of a non-profit that supports mentally and physically challenged adults living and working in the community.
