About Shaylan

Shaylan Cottick was called to the bar in 2021 and joined Mercier & Associates in 2026 as an associate practising primarily in family law, with additional experience in real estate and wills. Originally from Dauphin, Manitoba, she earned both her Bachelor of Arts and her law degree from the University of Manitoba, and previously practised for four years with a firm in Brandon and later with a mid-size Winnipeg firm. She focuses on negotiated, out-of-court resolutions where possible.
