About Alicia

Alicia Sawka earned an undergraduate degree with a double major in Sociology and Conflict Resolution Studies from the University of Winnipeg in 2003, then graduated from the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Law in 2006 and was called to the bar in 2007. She has practised family law primarily since her call and exclusively since 2010, believing in giving clients the information they need to make informed decisions. She has training in mediation and collaborative family law and litigates through the family court system when negotiation fails. She volunteers with the Legal Help Centre and serves as Chair of her children's daycare board.
