About Mark

Mark Holthe is a Canadian immigration lawyer who advises large national and multinational companies on recruiting and retaining foreign skilled and semi-skilled personnel, and assists individuals and families with permanent residence and family reunification. While in law school, Holthe worked as an immigration officer for Citizenship and Immigration Canada on the Alberta/Montana border and later as a pro bono student representing the minister before the Immigration Appeal Division in Calgary. Holthe began a legal career at a large national firm in Calgary, where Holthe started the firm's business immigration practice, before working at a regional firm and a human resource boutique. Holthe is a founding partner of Holthe Tilleman LLP, which has offices in Calgary and Lethbridge focusing on Canadian immigration and corporate commercial law, and hosts the Canadian Immigration Podcast. Holthe earned an LL.B. from the University of Manitoba and a B.A. and B.Ed. from the University of Lethbridge, and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the International Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association's Canadian Chapter.
