About Mark
Mark Elkin is the Managing Partner at Thompson, Tooze, McLean and Elkin, bringing over 25 years of civil litigation experience. Before law school he worked as an insurance claims adjuster and supervisor in Ontario, giving him an insider's view many insurance litigators lack. His practice covers trial work in occupiers' liability, property damage, product liability, motor vehicle accidents and complex personal injury claims. He graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1978 and from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1989, was called to the bar in 1991, and joined his current firm in 1992, becoming a partner in 1996 and Managing Partner in 2001. He has argued numerous jury and non-jury trials for both plaintiffs and defendants and has lectured at insurance litigation conferences.
