About Jonathan

Jonathan Lampe is counsel at Goodmans, where he has served as co-chair of the Corporate Securities Group and as a member of the firm's Executive Committee. His practice covers corporate and securities law in Canada and internationally, with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, related financings and reorganizations, and corporate governance, and he also advises entrepreneurial families and their family offices on strategic and structural matters. Jonathan is frequently engaged on M&A deals by Canadian and international acquirors, along with boards and special committees of target companies and their financial advisors. He also advises on governance matters for public entities, including strategic initiatives, investigations, and dissident shareholder situations. Jonathan has taught Advanced Corporate Law and Securities Regulation at the University of Toronto Law School, and in 2016 he was appointed an Advanced Leadership Fellow at Harvard University.
