About Mark A. Radulescu

Mark Radulescu heads the litigation group at GGFI Law LLP in Kitchener. Clients come to Mark with fights over employment (on the employer side and the employee side), estates, construction liens, defamation and business deals, franchise disputes among them. Those cases have taken Mark into the Superior Court of Justice and up to the Court of Appeal for Ontario, as well as before administrative tribunals and into mediations and arbitrations. Whatever the forum, the aim is a practical way through even a tangled dispute.

Mark has been part of GGFI since 2008 and became a partner in 2016. Law school was at the University of Toronto, where Mark helped low-income people through the Downtown Legal Services clinic and gave time to the Faculty of Law Review.

Not all of the work is contested. Mark helps franchisors build their systems, prepares the disclosure documents and franchise agreements that go with them, and enforces those agreements when a franchisee doesn't hold up its end. Residential real estate deals are still part of the mix too.

In 2022 the Waterloo Region Record featured Mark after a judge awarded damages to a client who'd been defamed online. Home is Breslau, where Mark lives with family, and time away from the office often goes to photography or a local stand-up comedy night.
