About Marjorie

Marjorie Marchand practises civil litigation with a focus on insurance, civil liability and municipal liability, representing both insurers and their insureds. She has pleaded before most civil courts and some administrative tribunals in Quebec. She practised in private practice for 14 years, first as an associate and later as a partner, serving as the Barreau's articling supervisor and later as coordinator of her firm's civil litigation and insurance law department. Before joining Casavant Bédard, she worked as coordinating counsel in the litigation and recovery department of a Quebec insurer. She graduated from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2008 with a law degree and a graduate diploma in molecular biology and law, and has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2009. She is an accredited trainer for the Chambre de l'assurance de dommages and a member of the Montreal Association of Insurance Women.
