About Mario
Mario is a senior litigation lawyer trusted by insurers, underwriters, municipalities, and institutional clients to manage complex, high-exposure insurance disputes. His practice spans construction litigation, major property and environmental losses, product liability, professional indemnity claims, abuse claims, employment-related human rights disputes, and class actions, and he is often brought in early to advise on risk and claims strategy. He appears regularly before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, and various administrative tribunals, handling files with voluminous records, expert evidence, and sensitive witness testimony. Mario represented two design professionals at the Elliot Lake Inquiry, which examined the causes of the Algo Centre Mall collapse that killed two people and injured 19 others. He also advises inspectors, architects, engineers, dentists, teachers, and other professionals facing negligence allegations.
