About Margot
Margot Liechti is an associate who practised law in Vancouver for five years before relocating to Victoria with her family in 2018. Her litigation practice focuses on insurance and commercial matters, particularly fire and property loss claims, personal injury defence, occupiers' liability, environmental matters, and subrogation. Before becoming a lawyer, Liechti spent nearly a decade teaching science, English, and math. She holds a BSc from UBC (2004), a BEd from Simon Fraser University (2005), an LLB from Queen Mary University of London (2012), and an LLM from UBC (2013), and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2016. She co-authors a column for the International Association of Arson Investigators Journal and volunteers as a mental health advocate.
