About Manjit

Manjit Grewal works across the firm's Administrative and Public Law, Employment, Family Law, Health Law and Insurance groups. Before becoming a lawyer she trained and worked as a Registered Nurse and Occupational Health Nurse, earning a nursing diploma in 1992, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1996 and a Master of Education in 2000, and completed her law degree at UBC in 2007. In her family law practice she handles separation and divorce, parenting arrangements, and child and spousal support, drawing on her clinical background to understand how mental health, addiction and chronic illness can affect a family. She also brings that occupational health knowledge to cases involving medical leave, disability, and workplace accommodation that arise during separation or family violence. Her insurance work involves personal injury matters, disability claims, and disputes over travel or life insurance coverage, frequently requiring her to sort through complicated medical evidence and assess long-term functional limitations. Manjit's dual background lets her work comfortably with physicians, employers, unions and insurers on medically complicated files.
