About Mahgol
Mahgol Taghivand joined McIntyre Szabo PC in 2026 after several years as an associate and student at Lenczner Slaght LLP, where she gained experience in civil and administrative litigation covering commercial matters, health law, employment, estates, and medical negligence. She is building a broad health litigation practice covering professional regulation, mental health hearings and appeals, physician privileging, human rights applications, and inquests, and represents healthcare institutions and regulated professionals. She has appeared before all levels of Ontario court as well as tribunals including the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Discipline Tribunal. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2023 after earning her JD from Queen's University and a Master's of Science from the University of Toronto.
