About Lisa

Lisa Mantello is a transactional lawyer at Osler whose work covers the full range of financial services matters, with particular strength in domestic and cross-border financings, private credit, structured finance, and derivatives. She acts as Canadian counsel to the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, and her contributions include drafting netting and collateral opinions covering several Canadian jurisdictions that ISDA members and market participants rely on. Lisa sits on the Bank of Canada's Collateral Infrastructure and Market Practices Advisory Group and chaired the Legal and Compliance Committee for the Canadian Alternative Reference Rate initiative. She earlier founded the Canadian Legal IBOR Committee and led drafting of fallback language later adopted across the Canadian financial industry. Canadian Lawyer named her one of the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada in 2023.
