Lindsay J. Wong is a partner in Gowling WLG's Toronto office, ranked by Chambers Canada in Projects: PPP & Infrastructure for its Canada 2027 guide. Called to the Ontario bar in 2011, Wong acts for government entities as well as private participants on large projects, whether they're structured as public-private partnerships (P3s), progressive projects or more traditional construction delivery.

A few representative mandates show the range. Wong has acted for Infrastructure Ontario on venues for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games, for the Toronto Port Authority on the Billy Bishop Airport pedestrian tunnel, and for Johnson Controls on the Humber River Regional Hospital P3. Across Canada, the work has taken in hospitals, transit lines, courthouses and schools, among other public facilities.

Clients get help keeping risk in check, whether that means managing it, mitigating it or avoiding it outright. That advice runs through every phase of a project and across procurement and delivery models. It's grounded in the paperwork, too: Wong drafts and negotiates project agreements, procurement materials, project finance documents and commercial and construction contracts, then takes deals through to closing.

The focus goes back a long way. As an associate at Gowling Lafleur Henderson, Wong was already concentrating on P3 and construction law and was involved in the firm's student recruitment, articling training and women's initiative. After a JD at Osgoode Hall Law School, Wong returned to Osgoode for a certificate in construction law.
