Leo McGrady is counsel with Koskie Glavin Gordon in Vancouver and has retired from a litigation practice spanning more than 50 years. He continues to teach law and provide advice in defamation, copyright, and media law, and to teach workshops and publish on the law of protest and civil disobedience. He has argued cases at all levels of court in British Columbia and the Yukon and was counsel on a number of precedent-setting Charter and labour law cases at the Supreme Court of Canada, and has taught at the law faculties of the University of British Columbia, Capilano University, and Simon Fraser University.
