About Leanne

Leanne Goldstein serves as independent counsel to Share Lawyers through Leanne Goldstein Law Professional Corporation, which is not an employee, associate, or partner of the firm. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002 and has spent more than two decades advocating for people whose benefits were wrongfully denied by insurance companies, with wide-ranging litigation experience before courts and tribunals and participation in hundreds of mediations. Before 2002 she worked at a large international firm, then spent time at a leading Ontario personal injury firm before devoting 18 years to representing individuals denied long-term disability benefits. She speaks regularly to professional groups, including the Long-Term Disability Section of the Ontario Trial Lawyers' Association, and has authored articles and a book chapter on critical illness. Leanne mentors through the Law Practice Program at TMU, sits on the board of Family Services of Peel, and volunteers for disability-related causes and community legal clinics.
